THE BLADE
The sharply honed blade comes with a leather sheath, which also holds a marlin spike. Made of highly polished steel honed to razor sharpness, this blade has been a favourite of many seamen and riggers over the years, including those of the Hector, the Bluenose, the Canadian Coast Guard and yachting people worldwide. knife measures 8.5 inches with a 4.5 inch blade.
MARLIN SPIKE
Marlin spike is a nautical term that refers to a sharp, six to 12 inch metal pin, usually made of iron or steel which is used to splice rope, untie knots, or form toggles or handles.
