The Symbol of Scottish Immigration in North America
The Hector Heritage Quay is staffed by volunteers and is a registered not for profit organization. All donations are tax deductible and go towards the continuing maintenance of the site and ship.
We are starting a restoration of the Ship Hector–our first steps began May 1, 2020. Our plan is to have the Hector completely restored by 2023, the 250th anniversary of the landing of the Hector in Pictou, Nova Scotia. This is a huge undertaking and all donations are gratefully accepted. The Hector will be removed from the water in June 2020 and all work will be done on site.
